In the department we attempt to focus heavily on making pupils aware of the need, and importance, for self-study. We are also aware that there are many different kinds of learner. These include:
A LITTLE AND OFTEN goes a long way!
With these different types of learner, come many alternative ways of studying. In the department we try to promote efficient self-study by working with pupils to develop the techniques that suit them best. Examples of study techniques include:
Flash Cards (online or offline)
Online Quizzes (online or offline):
Regular reading and note-taking (little and often)

- Find out more by reading newspapers, news site, magazines, etc
Text-to-Speech recorders

Pupils with access to Apple or Android technology can also search for many learning aids on the various marketplaces. Many of these resources are free to download and make learning portable.
